Seeded Cauliflower Steaks with Curly Kale

If you’re allergic to dairy products, substitute soft cheese for lactose-free cheese. If you have allergy to gluten, switch to gluten-free bread. If you suffer from allergy to nuts, try sesame or chia seeds. Learn more about alternative ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • Garam masala - 5 g (1 tsp)
  • Cauliflower head - 500 g
  • Pumpkin seeds - 30 g (3 tbsp)
  • Curly kale, sliced - 60 g (2 cup)
  • Coconut - 5 ml (1 tsp)

How to make:

  1. Slice the cauliflower into 1 1/2 inch thick steaks
  2. Crush the pumpkin seeds and combine with garam masala, coconut oil and salt and pepper
  3. Coat the cauliflower steaks with the seed mixture
  4. Place the steaks on a baking tray, drizzle a little water over the tray and roast in a 180 degree oven for 10 minutes, then flip over and roast for a further 10 mintues or until tender
  5. Steam the curly kale. Serve and enjoy
